About skin barrier

A small formulary
for skin that's been through enough.

Barrierceraskin is a small barrier-repair formulary — four product lines, eight ingredients we trust, zero fragrance. Each formula is patch-tested on reactive skin and screened per batch.

The science

Your skin is
brick and mortar.

Corneocytes are the bricks. Ceramides, cholesterol, and fatty acids are the mortar.

That mortar holds your barrier together in a 1:1:1 ratio. When it breaks down — through over-cleansing, harsh actives, weather, or stress — your skin gets reactive: redness, stinging, breakouts, flaking, tightness. Our entire formulary exists to replace the lipids in the architecture they belong in.

Our principles

Four lines we
never cross.

01

Barrier first.

If a formula compromises the lipid barrier, no active in it will work for long. Ceramides, cholesterol, and fatty acids are the foundation — everything else builds on top.

02

No fragrance, ever.

Not "naturally derived." Not "essential oils." Not "masking fragrance." None. Fragrance is the leading allergen in skincare and we don't use it.

03

One concern, one formula.

No 12-ingredient hero serums that quietly cancel each other out. Each product solves a specific problem with the smallest possible set of actives.

04

Patch-tested on reactive skin.

Not on people who already tolerate everything. Volunteers with sensitized, post-procedure, or compromised skin test every formula before launch.

Method

Evidence first.
Quietness next.

Every formula starts with a peer-reviewed barrier-repair study. From there we pick the percentage (derm-supported, never marketing-loud), the texture, and the base.

The four-line catalog

  • Ceramide-rich moisturizers. Three ceramides + cholesterol + fatty acid, formulated in the lipid ratio your barrier uses.
  • Cica-healing balms. Centella, madecassoside, panthenol — for redness, post-procedure recovery, and reactive flares.
  • Squalane oils. Cold-pressed olive squalane (100%) with optional bisabolol or vitamin E for occlusive seal.
  • Fragrance-free cleansers. Low-pH, amino-acid surfactant systems that lift the day without stripping the barrier.

Where we make it

Formulated in collaboration with U.S.-based cosmetic chemists and manufactured under ISO-22716 cosmetic GMP. Cruelty-free and never tested on animals — only on people who volunteer for the patch test.

Our promise

If a formula stings, breaks you out, or just doesn't agree with your skin — write to us. See our returns policy for how we'll make it right.
